- Black Gram (Vigna mungo) — A major pulse across India and South Asia, central to food supply and to the soil-fertility phase of cereal rotations.
- Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) — The world’s leading forage legume — the highest-yielding perennial hay and feed crop, and one of the strongest biological nitrogen fixers of any legume, central to dairy and livestock systems.
