Mode of action & use

Mode of action

Activates ryanodine receptors in insect muscle, releasing stored calcium; feeding stops quickly.

Systemic in the xylem and translaminar; acts mainly by ingestion.

Typical targets and crops

Caterpillars, together with some beetles and leafminers, in rice, corn, vegetables, fruit, cotton and sugarcane.

Resistance management · IRAC 28

Diamides act on ryanodine receptors; resistance has developed in diamondback moth and some other caterpillars. Use within a treatment window and do not treat consecutive generations with group 28.

This is general information on the active ingredient. Registered crops, targets, rates and pre-harvest intervals follow the label approved in each market.
