Inhibits chitin biosynthesis, so larvae cannot complete moulting; also reduces egg hatch.
Acts mainly by ingestion, with some contact activity.

Benzoylureas inhibit chitin biosynthesis and act on larval stages; resistance has been reported in some caterpillars. Apply against young larvae and rotate with other IRAC groups.
