Mode of action & use

Mode of action

Binds β-tubulin and blocks microtubule assembly, stopping cell division in the fungus. Protective and curative.

Systemic: taken up and moved within the plant.

Typical targets and crops

Ascomycete and related fungi such as Sclerotinia, Fusarium, Botrytis, Cercospora and powdery mildews in cereals, oilseed rape, fruit and vegetables. Not active against oomycetes.

Resistance management · FRAC 1

Benzimidazoles (MBC) carry a high resistance risk, and resistant populations are widespread in several pathogens. Use them in mixtures or alternation with fungicides from other groups and limit the number of applications per season.

This is general information on the active ingredient. Registered crops, targets, rates and pre-harvest intervals follow the label approved in each market.
