Mode of action & use

Mode of action

Inhibits chitin synthesis in mites, acting on eggs, larvae and nymphs; adults are not killed but lay non-viable eggs.

Contact action with translaminar movement and long residual activity.

Typical targets and crops

Spider mites in fruit, citrus, vegetables and cotton, best applied early as populations begin to build.

Resistance management · IRAC 10B

Etoxazole is a mite growth inhibitor. Apply it once per season where possible, early against developing populations, and rotate with acaricides from other groups.

This is general information on the active ingredient. Registered crops, targets, rates and pre-harvest intervals follow the label approved in each market.
