Mode of action
Inhibits ribosomal RNA synthesis (RNA polymerase I) in oomycetes, with the same activity as metalaxyl at about half the rate.
Systemic: taken up and moved within the plant.
Typical targets and crops
Pythium, Phytophthora and downy mildews in seed treatments, soil and foliar uses, usually in mixtures with fludioxonil, mancozeb or other partners.

Phenylamides carry a high resistance risk in oomycetes. Use them preventively, in pre-mixtures with a partner fungicide from another group, and keep within the label limit of applications per season.
